If you you need a great wireless mechanical keyboard get Anne Pro 2 — Gateron Brown Switch version
Transition from a Full size keyboard user to 60% keyboard user. From my experience is hard at the first time… All the function key and numpad is disappear and all you have is the main part of the keyboard.
After using this for one week and more, you will use to it and you might want to get a carrying case to bring it. Even more better inside this keyboard have some great little feature which add up to make it as a perfect 60% keyboard for the price you paid.
Lets talk about switches
After the top of the line Cherry 🍒 MX patent expired, market is flooded with tons of mechanical switch such as Gateron Switch, Outemu Switch, Kailh Switch and etc…
This keyboard is equipped with Gateron Brown Switch. For me the feeling is on par or better than 🍒 MX Brown… This is personal preference, suggestion from me is try out before you buy.
Add-on, swapping keycaps is easy, due to it is using mx stem, so most of the keycaps are using standard mx stem also. Suggestion get a HyperX Pudding Keycaps.
Next connectivity
Inside this keyboard is equipped with Bluetooth 4.2 not really great for gaming but good enough for day to day use for me. I am a programmer so this is my daily keyboard for programming.
To put it in pairing mode hold FN2 + F1/2/3/4 for 5 second you will set to pairing mode.
To switch between device press FN2 + to the device you to switch example switch to F2, Press FN2 + F2.
In the year of 2020, having a device equip with Type C port is an standard. This USB-C port is act as an wired connection to any device or charging to this keyboard. In the box it include a 1m red Type C to Type A cable.
Battery life
1900 mah battery… It may sound like it wont more than one week. But from my day to day use experience. It last like 1 and a half week with daily 8 hour using it.
To check the battery percentage, press FN2 + F8. From left to right 1 mean 10%, 0 mean 100%. If it is 1–8 is green while 9 to 0 is red which mean 80% battery life left.
Special sauces…
Since this is a 60% keyboard it doesn’t consist of physical ⬆⬅⬇➡ key but it smartly build this into tap function for this key when you hold shift key, it will act as normal shift key, but when you tap it, it will act as an Up key same as others 3, FN as left, Menu as down, Ctrl as Right.
Software — ObinsKit
In most of the budget mechanical keyboard, it wont come with a software with it. Inside this software, you get to record macro, customize the what does each layers does. Default layers is normal keyboard, which normally we don’t customize. To access FN 1 layer you need to hold FN1 on the keyboard, where you get to include some custom function such FN1 + X = play/pause music. To access FN 2 layer same method as FN1 just FN2 on the keyboard plus the combination you made in the software. All the changes you made will be save down on the keyboard. To use those function, you doesn’t need the software open at all time.
RGB, gamer paradise. Inside this keyboard you can customize the keyboard RGB to suite your setup. For me, I setup two profile white or rainbow effect.
You may press FN2 + F9 for changing the RGB. FN2 + F10 for turn of the RGB.
FN +F11/ F12 for tuning the brightness of the RGB F11 — dim the RGB while F12 — light up the RGB
In Summary,
I am in love with this 60% keyboard. I recommend you buy this keyboard, I even saw someone modified this keyboard till next level such as changing the battery to 5000 mah, swapping the keycap and change to Aluminum chasis.
